This means that KS will now, in addition to setting down the regulations for kommune.no as they've done previously, also accept the applications directly without them having to go through Norid first. Applicants can approach KS directly or through their registrar.Information from KS about regulations and the application form can be found on KS' webpage. At the same time the domain herad.no was opened as Generic domain for municipalities (herredskommuner) in Norway. The Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities will also administer this Generic domain. Appendix D in the Domain Name Policy for .no is updated to reflect this amendment. Please direct questions about the registration arrangement for kommune.no and herad.no to KS. |
