Contacting Norid during the system changeoverBetween 1 and 8 October you can reach us as usual on phone and email between 08.00 and 16.00 CET every working day. Our customer service will have more operators on duty during the week of 4-8 October. We will also provide a mobile phone number you can call if you need urgent, direct contact with Norid. This mobile number is reserved for the registrars and will only be published by email. In addition to this, you can also reach us via instant messages (IM). The instant messages go directly to the staffers on duty in the administrative and techincal departments. This service is available between 09.00 and 16.00 CET every working day of the period. We have two accounts set up:
All IM dialogues will be logged. We are using the XMPP protocol, which is used by among others Jabber and Google Talk. Here is a list of XMPP cliens for all platforms. UNINETT uses the universal client Pidgin, where you can manage many different IM systems in one client (AIM, MSN, ICW, Jabber, etc.).
