Updated documentation, new test system and new services

Updated interface documentation for Draupne is published.

A new test system is launched. The old test system has been shut down.

The test system runs with updated software for both the EPP registry service and for the EPP web client service.

The test system also offers new services. It is important that you try them out and learn how to use them.

Updated EPP registry interface documentation

A fifth beta versjon (beta5 1.0) of the EPP XML schemas and corresponding interface documentation is published.

You will find the documents and information about the changes on the web pages for the interface documents.

These are important documents. We urge you to carefully study the documents, and give us feedback and comments if you find anything that seems either strange, erroneous or unclear.

Please notice the name change on one of the attributes in the XML host schema. See the documentation web page for details. If you have developed your own EPP software, you might need to update it with the new attribute name.

Also notice a new document which contains a list of the extended EPP error codes used by Draupne.

We are close to a final 1.0 version of the schemas, but we will keep the beta status until we are sure.

New test version of the EPP registry service

The EPP registry service software is updated with a lot more functionality. It is compliant with the beta5 versjon of the XML schemas.

New registrar web service

We have launched a new and upgraded registrar web service.

This is a very important self-service application that you need to use regularly to maintain data related to your registrar contract. Various relevant status information is also available.

New Whois and DAS services

We have lauched two new public lookup services. A whois service for lookup of registrered information, and a DAS (Domain Availability Service) to check whether a domain is available for registration.

Updated Net::DRI CPAN modul (095.no)

A minor update of the Net::DRI' Perl/CPAN module for .no is published. The module is compliant with the beta5 XML schemas. Until the changes are made available on CPAN as part of the next 0.96 version, you can download the module from our web server.

We recommend that those of you who use Net::DRI use this updated module instead of the latest CPAN version.

Updated test version of the EPP web client

An updated version supporting the beta5 schemas is launched.

New hardware and new service names

The new test services are given new service names and runs on new hardware. The old test system and services have been shut down.

The test database is new. It contains no data except registrar accounts and configuration data needed by the registry.

The main account for each registrar is created by converting account data from the current registry system. Each registrar is also given a secondary test account, initially a copy of the main account. If the main account is 'reg123' (for REG123-NORID), then the secondary test account will be 'reg2123' (simply add 2000 to the number).

The passwords are copied from the old test system. You should be able to log on to the new system using the same passwords as before.
